KIDS ACTIVITIES – 1OF 4 – JUMPING CASTLE

With so much going on over the weekend of Lockyer Powerfest, it’s hard to imagine that kids will get bored from watching the action on the water with powerboats, jet sprint boats, wakeboard demonstrations, dragon boats and a huge array of static displays – including street rods, classic and customs, off road vehicles, drag racing cars, speedway cards, racing boats, ski-racing boats, offshore racing boats and new performance skiboats.

Just in case your little ones need some time out and fun with their friends, then there will be at least 4 options for your children to consider trying out, which include a jumping castle, hillbilly shootout, face painting and playground equipment.

The jumping castle is provided by Laugh out Loud Laugh which is a small family run business in Laidley and they have official Disney castles in stock with more to come shortly.
Prices start from as little as: $180 (4 hr hire)
$230 (7 hr hire)

INTRODUCING GUEST COMMENTATOR No. 2  FOR LOCKYER POWERFEST 2015

We warmly welcome a regular to the Lockyer Powerfest event and Gold Coast Power Boat & Sports Club member – Krystal Arthy!  GCPBSC have invited Krystal Arthy to guest commentate the formula future/junior class races over the weekend of Lockyer Powerfest.  Krystal knows the Lake Dyer triangular track well, having competed at the previous 4 Lockyer Powerfests!  In 2011, Krystal competed as one of only 3 juniors, in 2015, we are excited to have 10 plus juniors at this year’s event.

“I’m so excited to be back at Lockyer Powerfest for the 5th year running!  Having been there since the inaugural meeting in 2011, this will be my first year not in a race seat.  To be able to represent the juniors and co-commentate with Mark Staunton for all the Junior events will be a privilege and an honour.  Lockyer Powerfest is the premier boat racing event in Queensland, if not Australia”, Krystal said when asked for her comment re: being asked to be guest commentator.  Photo credit:  Brian Armstrong Photography.

INTRODUCING GUEST COMMENTATOR No. 1 FOR LOCKYER POWERFEST 2015

Matty’s back!  It is with great pleasure to announce that hard charging blown boat driver Matty Stone will be one of the  guest commentators at this year’s Lockyer Powrefest.  Alongside Mark Staunton, these two blokes will keep the crowd on their feet.  Both commentators are actual boat drivers .. their in-depth knowledge on engine and boat set up will take this year’s meeting to a new level on and off the water.

“It’s one of the best meetings I look forward to, the only circuit boat track with three corners… it’s awesome.  It allows the racing to be side-by-side for three laps from start to finish… I can’t wait … see you all there”, explained Matty.

Matty Stone has recently joined with Mal McColl Racing and will pilot the famous “Chase” boat over the weekend.. he is hoping to put his name on a few of the most prestigious trophies Queensland has to offer over the weekend.  Be sure to ‘like’ and keep up-to-date with all the news out of the Sucker Punch/Chase team on his facebook page Matty Stone.
